Utopian Society

by Thadeus Gonzalez

Oakland-based artist Thadeus Gonzalez released his debut album, Utopian Society in September, 2014. The 11-track collection showcases influences from classic rock, metal, punk, and ‘90s alt.

Supporting him in the recording were musicians with diverse and credible pedigrees. Dennis Hill (Face to Face) contributed lead and rhythm guitars and backing vocals, Scott Shiflett (Face to Face, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes) added additional lead guitar, Pete Pacheco (Electric Sister) was on bass and backing vocals, and Nathan Walker (Lit) handled drums.

All the tracks on Utopian Society were written by Thadeus Gonzalez, with Dennis Hill co-writing “Literally.” Hill (Hagar/Satriani, Lit, Good Charlotte) produced with Kyle Homme (Matt Costa, Sugarcult, Reel Big Fish) recording and mixing at The Lodge.
